The Story About Ellipse

Making my photograph of Álvaro Siza’s Pavilion of Portugal, I used light to shape the edifice, further sculpting its minimalist forms. I was captivated by its immense curved concrete roof, almost like a sheet of paper delicately resting on its two rectangular supports. Equally compelling were the three doorways of different sizes - which could serve as an allusion to the choices we face in life, and the thresholds we decide to cross.

This award winning artwork is part of the Scale of Space Series and is part of a limited edition of 10. The artwork is printed using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Fine Art Photo Rag paper, resulting in a long lasting museum quality artwork.
