The Story About Spirited

My surroundings are an endless source of inspiration, and I've always been drawn to patterns, design, and composition, things that nature creates effortlessly. For this minimalist photograph, I looked to the work of the Japanese artist Keisai Eisen.

What I love most about the image is the subtle movement of the koi fish. It brings the scene to life, adding flow and a sense of wonder that turns simplicity into something contemplative.

'Spirited' is a limited edition of 20 fine art prints, giclée printed with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, a 308gsm acid and lignin-free 100% cotton paper. Each print is inspected by hand, then named, numbered and signed by Mario Tarantino, with the reverse carrying the title, location, camera settings and the date the photograph was taken.
