The Story About Awakening

This award winning artwork captivates with its use of geometry, light and shadow, reducing the edifice to its most basic forms. The photograph, taken from an upward angle, leads the viewer's gaze through an almost never ending vortex of curvilinear lines, creating a visual rhythm. The black and white format accentuates the detail, depth and dimension, transforming the ordinary architectural feature into an abstract exploration of form and space. The lines and curves spiralling upwards lead the eye toward a naive outline of a human face turned towards the light conveying a sense of hope. The captivating perspective, combined with the strong black and white contrasts transform the mundane into marvellous. 

This artwork forms part of the Archstract Series and is from a limited edition of 10 fine art prints. The image is printed by a master printer using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Fine Art Photo Rag paper, resulting in a long lasting, museum quality artwork.
