The Story About Athlone

Connecting with some of the city of Cape Town's forgotten structures. This photograph is completely unique in that a photography permission had to be obtained as it is off limits to the public.

The massive chimney stacks stand guard over a face brick collection of rectangles and squares. Each one of these very linear forms giving shape to what is now the decommissioned Athlone Power Station.

From a limited edition of 10, this multi-award winning work is part of my, "Scale of Space" series. The work is printed by a master printer on Hahnemühle Fine Art Photo Rag Paper, using archival pigment inks resulting in long lasting, museum-quality artworks. Each print is numbered, hand signed, and includes a certificate of authenticity.
