The Story About Ypsilon
When making this photo, I felt as though I was walking in the footsteps of the photographers who have influenced my work - in this case, Berenice Abbott. Inspired by her vision, I wanted the image to convey both a dramatic sense of perspective and movement.
Seeking visual harmony, I relied on symmetry and repetition, allowing the geometric patterns on either side of the edifice to balance the composition. The surrounding buildings became part of the narrative, framing the subject in the form of an inverted “V” - an abstract allusion to both the masculine and the feminine.
From a limited edition of 20, this artwork is printed by a master printer on Hahnemühle Fine Art Photo Rag paper, using archival pigment inks producing a long lasting museum quality fine art print.
